After the release of his incredible debut album, COMPOSURE, MAALA played TWO sold out shows at Auckland’s Studio and Wellington’s San Fran Bath House!
COMPOSURE’s 10 tracks were recorded in the autumn at Golden Age Studios in Auckland, with producer Josh Fountain (Leisure). The album features writing collaborations on the lead single ‘Kind of Love’ with US songwriter MoZella (Miley Cyrus ‘Wrecking Ball’, One Direction ‘Perfect,’) and ‘Hush’ with New Zealand’s own Leroy Clampitt (Justin Bieber – ‘Company’).
On creating the COMPOSURE, Evan says: ‘There was a lot of anxiety and findings… it’s a rollercoaster. A way of exploring things, a way of finding my feet.’
In addition to his homecoming album release shows, MAALA has recently performed in London, New York, LA, Sydney and played the opening slot on Flume’s NZ tour.
