Up and coming New Zealand singer-songwriter Lilly Carron today reveals her debut EP ‘Messy Mind’.
The seven track collection features Lilly’s cathartic new single ‘ugly cry’, which is accompanied by a captivating video directed by Fraser Chatham.
Of the single, co-written with Jordan Arts (LEISURE, High Hoops) Lilly says: “I’m an overthinker, ugly cry was written about how this can affect my relationships with others and myself.”
‘Messy Mind’ embraces imagination and perspectives on life as a strong and insightful twenty-year-old. The Muriwai based singer-songwriter threads poignant, personal tales through her lo-fi brand of coastal dream pop.
“Messy mind, in its totality, is just me navigating the world and the emotions that come with it. Written over 2 years of my life, I feel it has shaped my growth. Great reflection has come from writing these songs.”
